Day 1: Kigali
Welcome to Rwanda! Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, our representative will welcome you at the arrivals and escort you to your hotel in the city. Check in assistance, followed by tour briefing.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel
Day 2: Kigali City Tour
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Then proceed on a guided full day city tour, including The Kigali genocide memorial, Heroes memorial site, Payage, Sainte-Famille Church, Inema Arts Center. Lunch at Republika lounge or the Khana kazana restaurant. Later, drive through Gacuriro & Vision City Estates and finish with Umusambi village. This is a serene sanctuary dedicated to rescued grey crowned cranes. It offers lush wetlands, birdwatching, guided tours, and eco-tourism experiences promoting conservation and education. At the end of the day, return to your city hotel.

Day 3: Kigali to Nyungwe Forest National Park, Nyanza Kings Palace & Ethnographic museum
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park. En route, have a tour of The King’s Palace Museum in Nyanza is a reconstructed traditional royal residence, showcasing Rwanda’s monarchical history. Visitors can explore the beehive-shaped thatched huts and observe the revered Inyambo cattle, known for their impressive horns and cultural significance.
After this, proceed to Huye. Visit the Ethnographic Museum offers insights into Rwanda’s cultural heritage. Its seven galleries display artifacts, including traditional clothing, pottery, and tools, providing a comprehensive overview of the nation’s history and traditions.
Have a leisurely lunch in Huye then head to Nyungwe. Arrive in the late afternoon and check in at your hotel/resort. The evening is at leisure to relax. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Nyungwe Forest National Park (Canopy Walk Tour/colobus monkeys)
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and go to park offices in Uwinka for briefing before your morning canopy walk tour. Once done, have a guided colobus monkeys tour in the gisakura area.
Later, return to the resort in time for lunch. Relax and enjoy the views. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 5: Nyungwe Forest National Park (Chimpanzee Walk & Tea Plantation Tour)
Depart early morning with a packed breakfast for the park headquarters for a chimpanzee trek briefing. Trek to see the chimpanzees starting at 06h00. Return to the hotel for lunch and relax in the afternoon. At 16:00, visit the nearby Gisakura Tea Plantation. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 6: Nyungwe to Volcanoes National Park, Buhanga eco park
After an early breakfast, check out and have a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park and Musanze.
Arrive in time for check in and lunch. This afternoon, visit the Buhanga Eco Park. This eco park is a serene forest rich in history and ecology. Once a sacred site for Rwandan kings’ coronation rituals, it features ancient stone relics, lush trees, vibrant birdlife, and tranquil trails. A perfect blend of cultural heritage and natural beauty awaits visitors.
Day 7: Volcanoes National Park (Golden monkeys)
Early morning breakfast. Transfer to park headquarters for golden monkeys’ trek briefing that starts at 7:00 and then proceed to the trailhead. Golden Monkey Trekking in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park offers a rare chance to see endangered golden monkeys in their bamboo forest habitat. With vibrant golden fur, these playful primates are fascinating to watch as they leap and forage, making this trek a unique wildlife experience amid stunning scenery. Once done, descend from the mountains and proceed to hotel for lunch. Have a brief rest. 15:30: Visit the Ellen Degeneres Campus for the Dian Fossey Fund. It’s a conservation center in Rwanda dedicated to gorilla research, education, and protecting mountain gorillas near Volcanoes National Park. Return to the lodge later in the evening. Day 8: Volcanoes National Park (Gorilla trekking)
Begin the day with an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters. Your gorilla trek begins at
07:00 with a briefing at Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, where guides share insights on safety and gorilla behavior. After the briefing, you’ll set off through misty forests, trekking lush trails with expert guides leading the way. The journey can be challenging but thrilling as you approach a family of gorillas. Watching them up close in their natural habitat is an unforgettable, humbling experience. Return to your lodge for lunch. This afternoon will be at leisure or enjoy optional activities. E.g community walk, massage. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 09: Volcanoes – Kigali / Departure
Leisurely breakfast at the lodge. Check out and drive back to Kigali ending your memorable safari with us.
