Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, drive the short distance to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing to this unique park with an alkaline lake and breathtaking views. Here you will view a wide variety of wildlife and the acacia woodlands offer the best overall wildlife viewing in the park. Enjoy your picnic lunches under the Acacia trees. This habitat is favored by the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, leopards and giraffes and can claim the greatest elephant concentration in East Africa.
Later drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Serengeti National Park
Breakfast, with picnic lunch’s drive to Serengeti National Park. Stop at Land of the Maasai—the iconic pastoralists of the East African savanna, known for their scarlet robes, their beadwork, and their legendary ceremonies. Pay a visit to a Maasai Manyatta, or village, where we’ll be greeted with a foot-stomping, high-jumping welcome dance. Immerse yourself in their world, learning about their customs. Meet the village elders, visit homes, and take part in a memorable cultural exchange.
Proceed to Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 3: Central Serengeti
Early Breakfast, Full day game drives with picnic lunch in Serengeti National Park. Be amazed by the vast plains and the enormous amount of wildlife that can be seen here, and start counting the Big Five. Serengeti Seronera is well known as being home to a large number of big cats- lions, leopards and cheetahs. This does not deter the elephant, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, buffalo and impala who are also popular inhabitants of Seronera. Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 4: Serengeti
Breakfast. Morning and afternoon game drives for today. After awakening in the heart of the wilderness in your luxurious tent – surrounded by Edwardian-era accents that evoke the classic safari camps of a century ago – your safari guide shares fascinating insights about the African bush on your early morning game drive, as you observe the struggle of species to survive in the “circle of life” within Serengeti National Park. At the end of the day you return back to the lodge dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 5: Serengeti– Ngorongoro Highlands.
Early Breakfast, morning day game drives in Serengeti National Park gets its name from the Maasai word Siringitu meaning endless Plain. Be amazed by the vast plains and the enormous amount of wildlife that can be seen here, and start counting the Big Five. Serengeti Seronera is well known as being home to a large number of big cats- lions, leopards and cheetahs. Leave Serengeti and drive to Ngorongoro Crater rim for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
Early breakfast and today you will explore the famous Ngorongoro Crater during a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck, the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only. Later drive back for dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 7: Cycling Guided Bike Tour – Arusha Town – Zanzibar
Breakfast and drive the short distance to Mto wa Mbu village ready for to meet your local guide you will cycle through the green surrounding of Mto wa Mbu during this 2-3-hour excursion. You drive through the village, banana plantations, rice fields and also stop at the shore of Lake Manyara National Park. This is where flamingoes and wildebeest often mingle on the shore. Drive back to Arusha, transfer to the aiport / ferry for your onward destination – Zanzibar. Upon arrival, transfer to the beach resort for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Zanzibar
Breakfast. Day at leisure. All meals and overnight at the beach resort.
Day 9: Zanzibar
Breakfast. Today’s sightseeing tour will be Zanzibar Spice Farm Tour and Stone Town. Begin your tour in Stone Town, a city of prominent historical and artistic importance in East Africa. Its architecture, mostly dating back to the 19th century, reflects the diverse influences underlying Swahili culture, giving a unique mixture of Arab, Persian, Indian and European elements. For this reason, the town was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.
Start by exploring the Old Slave Market site and Anglican Church, before strolling through the narrow streets towards the City Market. Marvel at the fresh products and fruits and watch how locals buy and sell anything here. Observe the hustle and bustle of the fish auction. After this, take a sightseeing tour of the main buildings in Stone Town including the Palace Museum and the House of Wonder, which is the largest and tallest building in the town, also known as Bait-al-ajab. Continue on to see the Old Fort, Tippu Tip, and of course, the most famous, Freddie Mercury’s House. Also visit the Peace Memorial and Natural History Museum, amongst other attractions.
Next, learn about one of the main industries in the region: spices. Discover how the islands produce cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and black pepper. For this reason, the Zanzibar Archipelago, together with Tanzania’s Mafia Island, is sometimes called the “Spice Islands”. There are many spice farms in Zanzibar and for the next portion of the tour, you will visit a real organic spice farm.
When you arrive, the spice farm guide will describe how the spices are grown and used as medication and flavor in dishes. See spices like vanilla, cardamom, nutmeg, and many more. It will be possible to touch, smell and taste the spices and herbs directly from plants. Later, transfer back to the resort. All meals and overnight at the beach resort.
Day 10: Zanzibar
Breakfast Today’s sightseeing tour will be Zanzibar Mnemba Island with snorkeling and evening dhow cruise. Mnemba Atoll Snorkeling:
Snorkeling at the Mnemba is one of our top Zanzibar activities, where you can swim and snorkel with dolphins and relax on the sandbanks. Trip savvy ranked Mnemba Island as the best beach destination in Africa. At the Mnemba Reef, you can observe a variety of marine animals, such as octopuses, angelfish, bluespotted rays, black snapper, groupers, red tooth triggers, flounder, leaf fish, scorpion fish, stone fish, frog fish, and a large number of trevallies.
Sunset Dhow Cruise:
As the cruise along the North Zanzibar coast by the traditional wooden dhow, you can enjoy the wind in your sails and the changing colors of the sun, which casts amber and gold hues. A fantastic and unforgettable experience is sailing along Zanzibar’s coast on an Arabian traditional dhow. Local dance music on the cruise, followed by traditional Zanzibarian songs and eating tropical fruits from Zanzibar. All meals and overnight at the beach resort.
Day 11: Zanzibar – Departure
Breakfast. Check out. Pick up from the resort and transfer to the airport / ferry ending your memorable safari and tour with us.
